The First Thursday of the Month – Pig Painting

Families and businesses throughout metro Denver are raising money for Families First as part of the “Drive for Community $Change$”. This unique fundraising program encourages  people to adopt a piggy bank, to keep it in a prominent place at home or work and fill in with “change.” Before the piggy banks are adopted, children, students and adults paint the pigs in creative and imaginative designs.

Steppin' Out, Midnight in Paris
March 15, 2014    DoubleTree by Hilton

Many a writer or artist has longed to travel back in time to the captivating era of Paris in the 1920s, to sip champagne with Hemingway or dine with Picasso at La Rotonde. Imagining Paris during the roaring twenties (the les années folles or "crazy time" in France) conjures up images of twinkling lights and the smooth sounds of jazz filling the streets. This year's Steppin' Out Gala, Midnight in Paris, intends to transport you back to that enchanting time of romance, exquisite food, wine and entertainment for an evening of supporting the work Families First is doing here in Colorado - strengthening families and giving young, abused children a second chance at life.
